Ready 2 Reflect?

Are you ready to reflect? To allow what you have heard to challenge you to live an extraordinary life? We hope so! And we hope that you will be able to help one another to do this too.

For this section, we will be working in small groups made up of delegates from different local schools discussing the implications of what we have heard from Elke.

Maybe here is where you need to be ready to take the lead; to be the first to speak and share your ideas.

17.25

Ready 2 Act?

If we are going to be ready to lead, then we need to be prepared to go somewhere! The aim of Ready2Act? is to give delegates the opportunity to make a difference to something that matters to them. We believe that if you are prepared to live out your values with passion and determination, you will transform the world around you in a unique and positive way. Others will follow – they won’t be able to resist!

In Ready2Act? delegates will be working with others from their school to plan and implement a project that makes a difference; maybe globally or locally. We will be introducing you to the Global Goals Competition that your school will need to register for. Teams and their members will also need to register.

Ready2Learn?

There will be a choice between the following seminars:

Seminar 1: Ready 2 Make your vision a reality? with Mark Hudson.

Mark will talk about his own experience of taking his own vision for transforming the lives of young people in our town and making it really happen. He believes that a vision is a solution, not a question, and will share some tips on how to get from the idea to its practical realisation.

Seminar 2: Ready 2 Present? with Sam Roberts.

Sam will talk about self-awareness in terms of personal presentation. When we talk to people, whether that be one on one or in front of thousands on a stage, we can say a lot without realising it. Sam will look at, in particular, non verbal communication and how we can try and control the way we come across.

Ready 2 Reflect?

From the practical learning of the seminars, delegates will be able to reflect together on how these lessons will impact them in the immediate future, whether in their project presentations, in school or in life more broadly.

17.25

Ready 2 Act?

Project Plan Finalisation: Project teams will be able to use their learning from the seminars to help hone their project plan and presentation ahead of recording their submission for Ready2Lead?. A video recording will be submitted by each group shortly after session 3 and will form part of the celebration in session 4.  All group submissions will be celebrated and from the best presentations, at least one group will be invited to present their ideas live at our finale.
